The tracking of sales and the methods used to do it have been around for many years, in fact companies like Amazon and CDNOW pioneered the practices they still use today.

The tracking of sales can be done in a variety of ways but the most common is through the use of cookies. Cookies are downloaded whenever a customer goes through an affiliate link and when a purchase is made it reports that transaction back to our system.

Tracking of sales can also be achieved through the use of UserAgent or IP addresses in case the user has cleared cookies from their computer and also through the use of small Flash files.
